Pumpkin Muffins

Memories of Thanksgiving Day...The smell of pumpkin and spices...Warm pumpkin muffins...
Thanks to Ellie Krieger for the Pumpkin Muffin Recipe. I made two changes: I used regular wheat flour, not pastry flour and I didn't use pumpkin seeds.

Strawberry Smoothie

I blended frozen strawberries, low-fat vanilla yogurt and vanilla soy milk together (a good combination) and poured it into my '08 Houston Marathon finisher's glass - to make me feel a little better after only running 1.3 miles this morning before the pain hit. I did strength-training after that, so at least I can do other kinds of exercise. I'm up to thirty push-ups.

Banana Bread

Short Run Today

I stood in the pool after one of my runs a couple of Saturdays ago to prevent post-run aches and pains and our weimaraner and dalmatian knew I was eating something good - peanut butter and honey on homemade bread. Zoe's got her ball and is ready to play, as always.

Today I ran 1.3 miles, but still had some minor pain so I stopped running and did some strength-training with weights and other exercises. I'm still trying to give my leg a chance to heal before the marathon.
