The Sun On My Side

I ran five miles after thirty minutes of strength training this morning. It's pretty hot so I ran down the shadiest streets in my neighborhood. I tried to run mostly north and south so that I wouldn't have to run towards the rising sun. That makes it seem even hotter, and I don't need hotter!

Pre-run: toast with honey
Post-run: yogurt with strawberries and pecans

  1. Thanks for your comments on my blog. Do o eat the Shot Blocks after your run? I am going to try my first Gu this weekend on my long run. So far water and Gatorade have gotten me through just fine. I am working on a post about gels so I'll let you know!

  2. I haven't used any in ages, but I used to eat them during the run until I realized I didn't like eating anything that needs chewing while I'm running. I like gel with water or drinking Gatorade better.
