Home Sweet Home

On Monday, my husband and I are moving out of the house we've lived in for nine years. I'll miss the quiet roads that I run on. Since living here, I've gotten used to seeing snakes (mostly!) and alligators - sometimes even when I run! It's been fun being a country gal.

It will be a few days until I can blog from our new house which is about an hour's drive from our old one in the Houston area.

But as soon as I get the chance, I'll let you know what the running is like. We'll only be four blocks away from a park with a partially-shaded running trail with water fountains. That's reason enough to move. Right?! ; )

  1. I hope the move goes well, Tina.
    New adventures await you!

  2. Let hubby do most of the moving, you have training to do. Ha Ha! Seriously, I hope it goes as well as moving can go. At least you get to clean out, and start fresh. That's a great feeling.

  3. How fun, I love change! It will be nice getting to know your new neighborhood and maybe you'll meet new running friends!
Hope it all goes well for you both!

  4. My friend and I were joking about seeing alligators the other day when we were running...I can't believe you really have seen them while running!!!!

I hope the move goes well!

  5. Just taking a short break from packing and saw all of the comments! How fun! : )

Okay, time to pack some more. Have a good weekend!

  6. Yikes, Alligators?! I wish you "happy moving"! Hope all goes well and that you love your new home, neighbors, and running trails. The park with fountains sounds lovely. Can't wait for the update.

  7. Hey chicky! Shoot me an email on what part of town ya'll ended up in! Is it any closer to me and Faithy??? Sure would be neat to finally get to run together!

  8. hope the move went well and weekend was fun! jealous of the new trail (WITH water!!!) how perfect :)

  9. WOW! Moves are never easy but at least you have a nice trail to look forward to!! :) Can't wait to hear a new report. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly!

  10. Hope the move is going well and you settle happily into your new area. Country roads are awesome but running trails and fountains will be new scenery and a new adventure. Shade is good on the running trail, too - Extra bonus!

  11. What park will you be living near? I'd lived next to the "Terry Hershey" park on the West side and loved it.
