7 Mile Run

I just ran 7 miles on my treadmill. It faces the street and I counted 40 brave runners. That count is low for a Saturday, but it's only 23 freezing degrees outside.

I didn't want to run because I was afraid it would hurt and that I'd be lacing up for nothing, but after a painfree warm-up, happiness set in. I picked the pace up to 9:09/mile. Maybe everything's going to work out after all. Only eight days until the marathon!

  1. "I just ran 7 miles on my treadmill." - Ummm, after reading that I have no words. Let's see, "I just walked from the kids room to my room and then I walked the length of the mall from Pennys to Target." Yup, that's all I got. ;)

  2. Woo Hoo! We both had pain free runs today. Mine was only 4, but I'll take that. I have such high hopes for your next week and Houston. 3:50 you can do it.

  3. Wow, that's a lot of runners for that temp. I don't see many around here when it is below 30.

    Excited for you...it's next week!!

  6. I'm going to force myself to run outside tomorrow since I've been a baby and wimping on on the treadmill. I hope it's a little warmed next Sunday!

  7. I ran 7 miles on the treadmill yesterday too!!!! Is there anything you do to make the time go by quicker? Do you change the speed often to keep things different?

  8. Sometimes I change the speed - it just depends on the workout. It does make the workout seem shorter if you change your pace or the incline a bit.

Sometimes watching TV helps, but I don't have a TV in the room with my TM anymore.

Yesterday I just listened to music and counted runners out the window. : )

  11. Happiness, indeed - pain free - Yahooooo!!! Although there probably wouldn't be much happiness for me if I ran on a treadmill! I NEED outdoors. :-) You will do great in your race. We'll be looking forward to a full report!
