So Many Deer!

One group of deer was curious and even walked towards me and my Weimaraner, Zoe. There they are in the picture.

  1. I haven't seen any deer in the park this winter, but I had seen a ton over the summer (more than I had ever seen in my entire life). I had one block me on the path, snort at me, and go up on his hind legs. So I am now a bit frightened of them!

  10. I do love seeing deer, although they can be startling to come across when running. True story: one time I came across a Fisher Cat, which was downright scary. Luckily it was far enough away and startled enough that we both went in different directions. Glad I've never come across any bears!

    1. Thanks, there's so much talk about 2014 lately that I'm thinking about the upcoming year. Most important to me is to not over train so I don't have to take time off from running in 2014 like I did in 2013.

    1. It's a new experience for me. We moved to this house about a year ago and seeing the deer at the park behind my house has been one of my favorite parts about living here.

  14. I've been seeing a lot of deer lately, too! While we were up visiting my dad, we went for a run on a local trail and there was a group of 4-5 deer that were standing right next to the trail just watching all the people go by. They didn't seem shy at all! It's a suburban area, so it was kind of unusual to see so many in the first place.
